The Peden Girls endured a frustrating season with the constant disruption of Covid, weather and injury thwarting a season of what might have been!
Ultimately it was a tied result with North Shore in the first round of the Competition that saw the group just miss a top 4 spot and the semi-finals (North Shore finished fourth on equal points). Dominant displays in Round 2 (versus Bankstown-Camden) and Round 3 (Inner West Harbour/Canterbury) set up an enticing encounter against ACT away in Round 4. ACT proved very strong and deservedly went on to win the title following the Round 5 abandoned round where a win may have seen the Manly Warringah girls finish fourth and qualify for the finals.
The Peden group came together wonderfully as a squad with David Ford and Shawn Addison doing a terrific job as coaches and Nerralyn Loh keeping the group informed and organised as Manager.
Well done to the playing group for a season highlighted by individual development and growth as a group.
Good luck to those players entering the Senior Club in season 22/23.
